Match report Amersham won the toss and elected to bat on a warm anti-cyclonic day, flat track and fast outfield. The innings didn't start well with 2 quick wickets falling however was stabilised by C. Tilbury and O. Haddock who put on 112 for the third wicket. Tilbury was trapped in front for 44 with the score on 125 however Haddock continued to bat through the innings being ably supported by T. Player and C. Fleming who made 44 each. Amersham declared on 286 at the close of the 49th over leaving Datchet 51 overs to chase them.

Following a splendid tea Amersham's decision to take the old ball paid dividends with Atkinson skidding one onto Singh's large pads trapping him in front (ish)...

The new ball was taken after 8 overs with Buchanan and Tilbury continuing and it was Tilbury who immediately came to the fore with two very sharp catches taken in the gully and slips respectively by Haddock and N. Palmer.

Datchet batted well and kept up with the run rate for a large period of the game however with wickets falling whenever the game got interesting it eventually got too much for them and they ended up shutting up shop with 4 overs to go and being 8 wickets down.

Overall a good days cricket, the best Amersham has played this year with a fantastic batting performance by O. Haddock, great fielding by the team on a hot day and another fine bowling performance by Atkinson who ended up with his second five wicket haul for the year.
