Match report Well done to the Boys for a convincing 162 run win in their first match of the season against High Wycombe.

Bowling first, every one of the boys bowled well to reach a team total of 17 wickets. They also affected some fine run outs to cap a good performance in the field.

Congratulations to Noah for a hat-trick in a 4 wicket maiden, ending with figures of 5 wickets for 4 runs. Other great stats included Zaim getting 4-3, Shyam 3-2 and Christian 3-14.

Overall we restricted HW to just 21 runs off the bat, although the total of 28 extras from wides and no balls gives us a target to work on. The coaches have also asked the boys to concentrate on walking in when the ball is bowled.

A solid batting performance saw us get to a net 109 runs, losing just 4 wickets. This included some excellent partnerships: Christian and Billy totalled 40, Ed and David 35 and Tommy and Will 34. We will play some very good teams through the season and our ability to build good partnerships will be key to getting big totals.
