Match report Sean Stanley (69) and Mustapha Rajabali (5-13) were the match stars for Amersham as the Shardeloes men smashed their way past lacklustre Fleet by 135 runs. Amersham earned a valuable 25 points, moving them up seven places to fifth in the table. They completely outclassed their hosts, who served up a feast of full tosses, and four-balls. Fleet has no answer to the spin of Rajabali or the pace of Tim Aylott (3-36). Rajabali finished with the astonishing figures of 10-5-13-5.

Amersham made another flying start with Jeremy Fisher (41) and Stanley putting on 111 for the first wicket in under 20 overs. They were assisted by some fairly innocuous bowling, but still made good progress enabling Shane Kelly and Ian Rogers to hurry the score along to 232, so that a declaration was possible after 50 overs.

Fleet were immediately in trouble with the run-out of Rosasti. A brief but unconvincing fight-back pushed the score beyond 50 but Rajabali was causing mayhem. The removal of Minshaw was the last straw for Fleet. A remarkable collapse followed at the hands of Rajabali and Aylott. The last five batsmen all recorded ducks as Fleet disintegrated to 97 all out.
