Match report The first sunday game of 2009 was played under warm April Sun. Amersham won the toss and decided to bat first. R. Viney and N.Piper opened the innings and were attacked by a swinging, deviating ball. Viney (7)was first to go via an LBW decision shortly followed by Piper (8), caught at slip. H. Jackson (4) struggled with the movement off the pitch and was caught at slip. N. Collison (69) made vital runs, pacing his innings well. A.Viney (65) arrived with score on 23 for 3, blocking the good ball and punishing the bad balls he and Collison developed a match winning partnership. Viney and Collison both were caught allowing Maher (10) and Cowley (6) to finish on 188 runs. After an unusual Sub-way tea winslow began their innings. A.Viney and A. Khandelwal opening the bolwing with 8 tight overs. Khandelwal was the pick of the bolwers with 4 Wickets, supported well by spinners, R. Marsh, J, Heslop and D. Sidebottom. Amersham rolled Winslow over for a mere 80 runs with 20 overs to spare.
