Match report On a moderately mild day at the memorial ground, Burnham took on Amersham with both sides yet to taste defeat. Amersham won the toss and decided to have a cheeky bat with the two Chris', Owen(68) and Cowley(84) setting the platform with what could prove a substantial total. Owen fell trying to get things moving and was caught out in the deep, whilst Cowley was looking for his first ton of the season. Hugh TFC. Enter the skipper who bludgeoned the ball to all parts of the ground and at one point looked like he would be taking a trip to the local A and E he was sweating that much. Kegly(31*) followed Collison's(50) lead, decorating all areas of the boundary. He eventually ran Collison out who made a hash of an easy two, with the innings closing on a respectable 255 for 6.

Amersham looked to take the game away from Burnham fromm the off and opened with Alex(1-36) and Little V(0-52) who didnt have much luck tempting their openers into giving their wicket away. Alex had to leave the field to hug the basin for a few overs leaving Amersham to field with only 10 men. Needless to say he got some stick for that! The breakthrough came with Collison leaping like a salmon at Mid Off from a rapid Stuart Rodgers(2-33) delivery. Atko(0-31) was inspirational, almost as if teaching his pupils how to bowl the perfect spell. Robbie Marsh(4-51) bowled inconsistently well, however suggestions are that the celebrations are kept to a more reasonable level. Burnham eventually fell just 6 runs short of their target and Amersham marched to the the top of the Sunday League table.
