Match report There was overnight rain, but the covers were on, and were definitely in place at 9am.
From 9am - 6pm (when there was another light shower) it was a hot sunny day.
At 3pm the ground was absolutely 100% fine, the pitch was dry as a bone as it had been covered and there were no problems with outfield, neighbouring strips, run-ups, etc.
However, at 11am, Chalfont St Peter rang Harry, claiming that water had leaked under the covers and they were concerned over the safety of players! They cancelled the game and claimed equal points.
