AMERSHAM CC Lost by 4 wickets

Match report Lost the toss (again) but put into bat so quite happy with the decision as the team was stacked full of batting. The only person to contribute a meaningful inings though was Renny Adams making his first half century of the season and in scoring his 62 passed the 10000 mark for the club. Well done. Palmer stroked 26 , Haddock smashed 27 and Emsley hit a useful 30 to enable us to reach 224 for 8 after our 52.

Somebody woke Jack Rogers up to bowl his fastest spell of a progressive season for him, Emsley bowled his wibbly-wobblies sometime on the spot occasionally not, Ashley Turney impressed again, Paul Weston rolled back the years and Haddock took two stumpings. All to no avail as 224 was never quite enough against the Champions who won by 4 wickets.

Nevertheless, a very enjoyable season and many thanks to all who played for us.
